Supervisor engine redundancy and power redundancy supporting deliver the low latency and high scalability network experience to ensure superior reliability for edging or core network. Any two Cisco Catalyst 6500E series Switches with Supervisor Engine 720-3C/720-3CXL/S2T-10G/S2T-10G-XL can be pooled together into a VSS, the Chassis delivers up to 180 Gbps per-slot bandwidth and will be capable of delivering up to 8 Tbps of system bandwidth.
